What God is teaching me today...

"The best things is life are free,
but you can give them to the birds and bees,
Now gimme money! That's what I want!"
~The Beatles~
The more God is teaching us about finances, the more I realize how little I know. Money is such a god in our society, a god that I serve more often than I'd like to admit. I've developed the attitude that I'm an owner of what God has entrusted to me, instead of His manager.
"Not every man can carry a full cup. Sudden elevation frequently leads to pride and a fall.
The most exacting test of all to survive is prosperity"
~Oswald Chambers~

  2. I once heard that money is not evil. It is the love of money. If money was evil wouldn't Satan unload truckloads of it on our front lawn.

  3. Now there is a lady with some wisdom. Bless you Starting Over. I had never thought about that before but it is so logical that it escapes comprehension by it's obviousness.

I just lend moose an audio series called money management from Larry Burkett. It has some nuggets of wisdom in it. You can borrow it when he is fnished with it if you wish. I want to encourage you on this journey. As you guys search out Gods truths and principles regarding finances he will be faithful to show you what you need to know.

  8. It would appear we're all walking this road of financial house-keeping. I'm so thankful for our mentors along the way - can't tell you how much peace it's brought to our home to get things heading in the right direction....blessings as you walk this out.

  9. I got that quote from Mark Gorman. I watched him on Its a New Day and that really stuck with me. He just wrote a new book about money, it is supposed to be really good
