In the last few weeks I've received various emails regarding the rising gas prices. All of them full of strategies on how we can force the gas companies to lower their prices. I'm wondering why there is no uproar regarding what the effects of our gas consumption has on our environment, but only what effects our gas consumption has on our wallet? We have plotted plan after plan, to get these gas prices to go down, so that we can continue to use copious amounts of gas without it emptying our pockets. Are there not other options? Car-pooling, taking the bus, walking more and generally using less gas are all reasonable and feasable solutions, but unfortunately we all seem unwilling to sacrifice our standard of living.

  1. Yep I hear ya. We complain because they raise the prices of gas, and yet are unwilling to do something about it. How odd is that. I hate how the gas prices are rising and yet I seem to be stuck, try doing three kids on the bus, rather not. How about walk to get grceries, umm no. Call a taxi, sure but that cost money as well.
So I guess I have to live with the fact that gas is only going to get more expensive, housing is going to get more expensive. Our world is changing. It is scary and yet to be expected.

I have thought a lot about this topic, so thanks for sharing.

    Blessings!

  4. I agree with carpooling. In BC there is a faster lane to take on the major highways if only you have more than one person in the car. I thought that was a good idea.
Yeah our little guy does look grown up in the Bumbo. I never bought one due to the price but we got it as a gift and he is so proud of himself at 7 weeks already!
